This page contains
statistics on our players for the entire season. Please be advised that,
for some, these stats may be a little disheartening while for others
they encourage them to perform and excel. Because of the potential for discouragements
this information has thus far been withheld and used by the coaches in order
to help the kids in areas where performance was lacking. Personally I am
a proponent of the latter philosophy...especially when kids enter this level
of ball playing and competition.
These statistics are
computed by a computerized program designed for scoring baseball/softball
games. The program is called SCORE-IT
and is offered by The Tucson Advantage
Company. Click on the links if you wish to learn more about this
software program.
How are
statistics compiled?
As many of you know, I have
had the honor and privilege of keeping official records for many of our games
this season. I maintain a second book that is a duplicate of the games
that I have scored. For other games I maintain scoring principles just
as if I were the official scorer for that game. The data is transferred
directly from hard copy to the software program. This data is then assimilated
by the statistics portion of the program called Score-Sum.
This portion of the software allows the user to define the type of stats from
a large array of statistics For use on this web-site I have
compiled various stats ranging from individual batting statistics to team
performances. I have also provided stats for you to view how you faired
versus other teams. I hope to have individual game images available for
downloading in the near future.

A Word
To The Kids:
Kids, do not be discouraged
by these stats. I have not given you anything that is not earned as
other scorers have done. Your hits and batting averages are fully
earned. I have not given you hits just because someone did not touch the
ball. In the same token, other batters were not awarded hits and you may
have been charged with an error if the ball was catchable or playable for an
out. If you have any questions about your stats, please email
me...I will not discuss these on the field. The links below will

browser.
